ES-1008 mit 8 Festplatten
Kompakte RAID Tower mit dennoch hoher Kapazität sind vor allem für die Bildbearbeitung an Mac Workstations wie auch Linux und Windows Rechnern gefragt. Während bei Mac Rechnern der FireWire schon lange die nötige Performance liefert, war der an Windows/Linux Rechnern übliche USB Bus bisher meist zu langsam. Mit dem neuen USB 3.0 Standard ist diese Beschränkung aufgehoben: bis zu 5 Gbit/s können über den Bus transportiert werden.
ES-1008 Tower gibt es auch mit SAS 6 Gbit und mit Thunderbolt Interface.
