ES-6200 SAS⁄SATA RAID, 16 Festplatten
Preisgünstige ES-6200 SATA RAID Systeme gibt es auch mit SAS Interface. Der Vorteil: SAS - serial attached SCSI - ist deutlich schneller als das klassische parallele SCSI. 4 Leitungen à 3 Gbit/s laufen in jedem SAS Kabel, damit ist die maximale Datendurchsatzrate (12 Gbit) deutlich höher als bei der aktuellen Fibre Channel Technologie.
Um diesen Möglichkeiten gerecht zu werden, sind die Controller mit PowerPC CPU und ASIC 400 Technologie ausgestattet. Das sichert hohe I/O-Raten.
ES-6200 gibt es auch mit Fibre Channel, Ultra 320 SCSI und iSCSI Interface sowie als RAID Tower.
