Infortrend iSCSI/SAS
EonStor DS iSCSI RAID, 16 Festplatten
Mit den EonStor DS iSCSI RAID Systemen gibt es active/active redundante Controller bei EUROstor auch für iSCSI RAID Systeme. Im Gegensatz zu den ES-6200I RAID Systemen unterstützen sie darüber hinaus auch SAS Festplatten.
Da iSCSI zunehmend auch für performancekritische Applikationen wie Datenbanken, Exchange Server etc. verwendet werden, ist es wichtig, hochdrehende und I/O-performante SAS Festplatten einsetzen zu können. Durch die SAS-Unterstützung ist auch die Erweiterung über SAS Ports hinzugekommen. Das macht diese Systeme auch für den Einsatz mit SATA Festplatten in Archivlösungen attraktiv.
Einige Systeme bieten optional auch Replikation auf ein weiteres System und Thin-Provisioning an (s. Datenblatt).
