ES-1008 with 8 disks
Compact RAID towers with still high capacity are especially required for video processing on Mac workstations, but also with Linux and Windows machines. Whereas high performance has been delivered for quite some time on Mac systems, USB 2.0 - common with Windows and Linux PCs is much too slow for this kind of applications. This has changed with the new USB 3.0 standard: up to 5 Gbit/s can be transferred over the bus.
ES-1008 Tower can also be offered SAS 6 Gbit and with Thunderbolt interface.
