Infortrend iSCSI/SAS
EonStor DS iSCSI RAID, 16 disks
With EonStor DS iSCSI RAID systems EUROstor offers active/active redundant controller also for iSCSI RAIDs. As opposed to ES-6200I RAID systems they furthermore support SAS disks.
As iSCSI is more and more being used also for performance critical applications like databases, Exchange Server etc., it is important that also i/o optimized fast spinning disks can be used. With SAS support, also expansion over SAS ports has been added to the features. This makes ES-8200 iSCSI RAID also interesting for bigger archiving solutions, where up to 64 TB can be achieved with 1 TB SATA disks.
Some systems optionally offer replication to another system and thin provisioning (cf. datasheet).
